The Middle East‘s solar-storage market has entered an “era of mega deals” in 2026.
On May 21, Sungrow signed with Masdar to supply 7.5GWh of liquid-cooled storage and 2.6GW of PV inverters for the UAE’s Round‑The‑Clock (RTC) renewable energy project. This follows Sungrow‘s 7.8GWh project in Saudi Arabia—the world‘s largest storage project at the time. Together, these two mega projects total over 15GWh.

Saudi Arabia is also accelerating. On April 22, the Saudi Power Procurement Company launched the pre‑qualification for its second group of BESS projects—six projects totaling 3GW/12GWh, each 500MW/2000MWh to be developed under a BOO model. This follows the first 2GW/8GWh tender in late 2024, marking the region‘s transition from pilot stage to routine, scaled deployment.
According to DNV, renewable capacity in MENA is expected to double to 310GW by 2027, with solar alone reaching 860GW by 2040. The total project pipeline in the region has already exceeded 200GW. As projects grow in scale, EPC requirements are also shifting—from sourcing individual components to full supply chain integration. Managing modules, inverters and batteries from separate suppliers adds complexity, compatibility risks, and finger‑pointing during after‑sales. Schedule delays on large projects can cost tens of thousands of dollars daily.
Chasun Solar, as a JinkoSolar Gold Agent, offers a one‑stop module + inverter + battery solution for Middle East EPCs:
- Modules: Jinko Tiger Neo 3.0 670W N‑type TOPCon (24.5%+ efficiency, 85±5% bifaciality, -0.26%/°C, <1% first‑year degradation) — proven in the UAE RTC and other GW‑scale projects; AIKO all‑black ABC modules (24%+ efficiency).
- Inverters: Deye hybrid inverters (3kW‑80kW+) with on/off‑grid switching, diesel generator input, 6 programmable time‑of‑use periods, IP65.
- Batteries: Self‑developed 5/10/16kWh LiFePO₄ packs, 6,000 cycles, modular and parallel‑expandable.
Core advantages: factory‑direct, one‑stop supply that reduces procurement complexity and management overhead; capacity assurance and reliable lead times for large orders; free system design and LCOE calculation; 12‑year warranty and 48‑hour global response.
The Middle East‘s multi‑gigawatt solar-storage market is wide open. For EPCs, winning major projects is no longer about price alone—it’s about locking in margins with a full‑supply capability.
EPCs and project developers are welcome to contact us for custom turnkey supply solutions for utility‑scale projects.
